Rain

Gather at roadsides if you must. Turn to mercury on a duck’s back. Don’t Keep Off the Grass. Make windows weep. Applaud. My woollen suit cringes at your touch, but lob a drop in my upturned mouth. Be Greek. Fall like little smashing plates. Be French and kiss both cheeks.
